EXAMINATION POLICY
The school follows the CBSE guidelines from Class Nursery to XII. Assessments of students are done through different skills they acquire throughout the year. School follows the curriculum as planned by the CBSE for all classes:-
Nursery to II
- No Formal assessment. The children are assessed on the basis of day to day observation, through general discussion and revision worksheets.
- A checklist is also prepared at the end of each term to verify the child’s conceptual understanding.
Classes III – V
- The student’s performance is evaluated on the basis of unit tests, oral tests and project work.
- Weekly tests are held in rotation for all subjects for Classes III to V throughout the year.
Classes VI –X
- The academic year has been divided in two terms: Term –I and Term – II
- Each term shall have (UTs) and one Term exam (Half Yearly / Annual Exam). Both terms carry equal weight-age.
- Periodic assessment will include unit test, maintenance of notebooks and subject enrichment activities.
- Student has to secure minimum 33% marks in each subject as well as in aggregate in Term –II for the promotion to the next class.
- CBSE Board will conduct Class-X Examination for 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject. The remaining 20 marks are set aside for periodic assessment which will comprise of periodic test (10 marks) notebook submission (5 marks) and subject enrichment activities (5 marks) in each subject.
Classes XI-XII
- The academic year has been divided in two terms: Term –I and Term – II
- Each term shall have (UTs) and one Term exam (Half Yearly / Annual Exam). Both terms carry equal weight-age for class XI.
- Syllabus: Portion covered in the respective term. It will be made available on the school website also in advance.
- Student has to secure 33% marks in each subject and in aggregate to be promoted to the next class.
- Moreover a student has to secure minimum 33% marks in Theory and Practical separately in the subject involving practical examination.
- A candidate failing in one of the five subjects of Annual examination shall be placed in compartment in that subject.
