Simple breathing exercises, mindfulness games, and moments of reflection contribute to emotional resilience, self-awareness, and a positive mindset. Regular workshops and seminars are organized to facilitate collaboration between parents and teachers. These sessions provide insights into the developmental milestones of the Preparatory Stage and offer practical strategies for extending learning experiences into the home environment.

Each activity conducted in the Pre Primary section, influences all aspects of a child’s growth and development, so that he or she can face the world with courage and confidence. Our aim at G.D.Goenka is to provide every student enough opportunities to polish his/her talents and skills. Show ‘n’ Tell activity gives a platform to all the students to build their confidence. Taekwondo is an integral part of the curriculum. Regular displays and belt tests ensure the healthy growth of our children. The Junior Sports India has devised a special programme to develop the physical milestones of each age group. Physical Education is imparted on a regular basis.

We have also introduced new software ‘Nayi Disha’ which caters to educational computer games for pre-school children to make learning fun and more engaging using motion sensing technology. These games are fundamentally based on Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences. Regular trips, excursions, fulfilled games and activities are planned for our Goenkans and they have fun in a new environment and gain confidence while they do so.

Our little scholars are curious and intelligent. We provide them the impetus to forge ahead and learn as they discover and explore. Our ‘Budding Goenkans’ participate in ‘Eureka’ and ‘Atulya Bharat’ the Annual science and social science Exhibition of the junior section. Each little one enthralls the audience as they speak about their models and experiments.

• We have large splash pool, skating rink and a large playground.

• Class rooms are bright, colorful and are complimented by theme based wall paintings.

• The school has also provided an Activity Room and a Resource Room with audio visual facilities, doll house, workstation, mini Library and Toy Corner to enhance the child’s joy and interest in learning.

In conclusion, it is important to note that the academic structure and its curriculum in the Pre Primary Section of our school is an earnest attempt to introduce activity based thematic learning in the classroom. It is backed by the ‘developmental theory’ and is replete with ample activities. The entire process is an exciting voyage of self discovery and learning and is truly child centered.

All the activities pursued are highly enjoyable and graded carefully keeping in mind the age group and the child’s mental and physical abilities. For the child it ensures a stress free childhood, making learning enriching in the most impressionable years, thereby building a skill based foundation which will enable each little Goenkan to cope with the future with immense confidence and fortitude and help them to emerge as true global citizens.

'Second Position' at 'FIRST LEGO League'

Anushca Nagia class VII -A, has won 'best project research' award and secured 'second position' at 'FIRST LEGO League’ - north India robotics championship -National level Event held on 19-20 Jan,2019 at Manav Rachna International School- Faridabad.

Anushca Nagia along with her team members of 'Rock-iT’ will progress to represent India at upcoming FIRST LEGO League - American international robotics championship @ LEGOLAND, California.

Team Rock-iT successfully cleared all four stages of the competition: Project Presentation, Robot Design, Core Values and Robot Game.

'National Yog Sports Championship'

Vrinda Chopra of Class VI. Won Gold medal in 3rd National Yog Sports Championship organized by Yog Sports Association,India.

It was held in Haridwar on December 07th to 09th,2018.

'MAN OF THE MATCH in Gargi College '

Daksha Bhutani of class VII-A and Agastya Pandey of class VI D won ‘MAN OF THE MATCH’ Trophy in the Cricket Tournament played in Gargi College in the month of January 2019.

Bhavik Singh of class VI B was declared as a Best Player of the Tournament.

Anannaya Dobriyal of class X A secured the Second Prize and an honorarium cash prize of Rs 15,000/- in Oil’s National Level Essay Competition, 2018.

Prathmesh Narayan Gupta of Class X A secured the First prize and an honorarium cash prize of Rs 20,000/- in Oil’s National Level Essay Competition, 2018

Thus, equipping the students with experiences that foster aptitude in critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork, and which have considerable value in promoting underlying attributes associated with being well-prepared for life, such as creativity, persistence, and the ability to communicate and collaborate.

To my lovely students, I would like to say that always believe in your innate spark and know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle that comes your way. Hardships sharpen your abilities to be persistent, dedicated, and positive. Just like you can’t build a strong body without exercise, you can’t build a strong character without managing difficulties. In our late president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s words, “Don’t fear failing in the first attempt because even successful maths starts with zero only” and to add to it, I will further say that never be afraid of dreaming big, dreams will fuel your surge to the infinite skies.

I also acknowledge the ardent involvement of community and parents to collectively encourage students' learning, to augment student outcomes and equip them with the proficiencies to surpass in a rapidly changing global landscape.

To conclude, I will summarise in the words of Gwendolyn Brooks “We are each other's harvest; we are each other's business; we are each other's magnitude and bond”. So, let us come together and strive to create a better world. Each individual spark when brought together can light up the darkest hour. Be that spark and let there be light!

Being chosen as the Head Boy of a school is both a privilege and a responsibility. It symbolizes trust, leadership, and commitment, and while it brings immense pride, it also comes with challenges that shape one’s character.
The role is not just about wearing a badge, it is about being a role model, upholding the school’s values, and motivating peers to put forth their best. Although this journey was not without its hurdles, juggling academics, responsibilities, and personal commitments. It taught me discipline, adaptability, and the true essence of teamwork. Our school sure has an atmosphere where everyone feels safe, confident and motivated to take on new challenges.

Being the Head Girl of G.D. Goenka School, Dwarka, I’m honoured to be trusted for this position. It feels rewarding to be counted upon as a representative of our vigorous school community. I believe in instilling a great sense of empathy and unity in an environment as nurturing as a school’s where all the members join hands to reach a common destination, praising and admiring the successes and being compassionate and supportive during the failures.

Such a boundless role comes with innumerable opportunities and responsibilities enabling a great learning experience in teamwork, communication and management. It is also accompanied with pressure to face the challenges and perform up to the expectations of everyone but it is what keeps me driven towards my duties as a student and as a leader, the pressure is what fuels my passion in some way to be better each day and offer the best I can to this community in all possible ways.
As a part of my role, I aim to ensure to serve as a link between the students and the faculty, resulting in peaceful combinations.
